Overview
Understanding the roles in KYA
In the e-commerce or supply-and-demand context, we identify four main component groups in the KYA ecosystem. As depicted in Figure 1 below, the main group consists of the buyer on the “demand” side and the seller on the “supply” side. In the middle, we typically find infrastructure such as a content delivery network or other web security solutions protecting websites against bots and fraud. On the seller side, CIAM services support user identity management and payment gateways for transaction settlement. To enable agent commerce, the token issuer manages buyer and seller identities and token payment credentials and establishes a framework of trust among all parties.
